Nowadays medicine is not only for treating diseases and curing health problems. It is much better to prevent diseases because only by some simple actions you can be healthy and do not get sick easily. Above all, more money will be saved, and you do not have to pay a lot of money to cure your disease. Public health has been defined as "the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting human health through some organized actions by society, organizations, public and private institutes and individuals". Public health is an interdisciplinary_ field. It means that many fields like medicine, economy, sociology, etc. must work together to reach their goal. Public health wants to improve the quality of life through the prevention and treatment of disease. One simple example of their job is vaccination. When you are vaccinated in your childhood, your body has experienced the presence of a particular weak microbe that does not cause disease. Instead, your body will be ready if that microbe attacks your body for the next time because it once has seen this microbe and is ready to fight with it. If you use vaccination, you will not get that disease when you grow up and your money will be saved because you do not spend it to cure the disease. These days doctors must pay attention to public health. They can cure one person only by medicine, but they can cure a society by using public health at the lowest cost.
